A recap of 2025 in photos for our university. 

Texas Tech owns one of the most significant panels of prehistoric rock art in the world. "It was just my favorite spot in the world. There was always something to dream on." In 1980, Rattlesnake Canyon was donated to Texas Tech. The walls are adorned with breathtaking Pecos River-style rock murals, but consistent flooding and erosion will eventually degrade them. Red Raiders are helping to document these findings before they're lost to time forever.

Barbecue brings people together.
For Michael Flores it helped bring his family even closer together. Building on his dreams and the lessons he learned at Texas Tech, he is leading Jiménez y Friends Barbecue y Taqueria - his family's restaurant - to new heights and keeping alive their passion for feeding the community.

OXFORD, Miss. — Chicago has its deep-dish pizza, and foodies flock to Philadelphia for Philly cheesesteaks. Down in New Orleans, the po-boy has a long and storied history. In Oxford, the iconic food most identified with the town is the humble chicken on a stick.

OXFORD, Miss. — Four weeks ago, winter storm “Fern” brought more than just a freeze; it left the University of Mississippi fractured. As the ice slowly thawed, it revealed an estimated 100,000 cubic yards of debris across campus.

Every fall for more than 100 years, UND alumni and friends have returned to campus for Homecoming. In 2025, our UND community came together for a week of celebration, with groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings, a rainy but spirited parade, and finally a commanding 58–7 football win at the Alerus.
