Bright lights entered small town Nebraska for a project led by a team from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

About a dozen Husker students served on the crew for a short film written and directed by Richard Endacott, professor of cinema and screenwriting. Endacott said giving students hands-on experience working alongside professionals gave them insight into all aspects of production.

When I found out the theater department was performing "Rent" for the spring musical I knew I wanted to photograph the production to give our university / community an inside look at what it takes to create a full length musical production. For over 2 months I photographed the various stages of development including construction, lighting, wardrobe, rehearsals, and shows. I wanted people to get a personal connection with the people and creativity involved with a project that demands heaps of effort and time.

'Tis the season -- foaling season, that is -- at the University of Missouri's Equine Teaching Facility. The facility, part of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources' Division of Animal Sciences, is known for its long tradition of breeding and raising quality quarter horses. It's also a prime example of the student-operated, hands-on experiences you can find at Mizzou. Undergraduate students in Animal Science's Equine Breeding Management class focus on practical applications of reproductive management techniques and breeding in the horse.

Damon Coyle creates realistic trainers for the med school, nursing school, and veterinary medicine school. What he does is unique and very few individuals in the country do what he does. When he was a kid, he remembers wanting to be a doctor artist. He got his undergrad in biology while taking several art courses, including a renowned sculpting course. Then three years into medical school he left, realizing he wouldn't be able to continue his hobby of art. That's where Dena Higbee, executive director of simulation at the Sheldon Center came in and put Damon to work.

The Grand Valley women’s soccer program, the most successful in NCAA Division II history, experienced a flurry of changes for the 2022 season. The Lakers have won seven national championships, more than any Division II program, with their most recent titles coming in 2019 and 2021 (there was no tournament in 2020 due to COVID). Before the start of the season, the Lakers were selected as the No. 1 team in the nation, a testament to the program’s success. Yet, the squad also included nine first-year players, three transfers and a new coaching staff led by Katie Hultin.
