Step into the wonderfully weird world of insects with Dr. Jerome Goddard, a renowned professor of entomology at Mississippi State University, in this entertaining and educational social-media video, “Facts and Fables | Medical Entomology.” Blending science with humor, Dr. Goddard takes viewers on a fast-paced journey through some of the most persistent myths, half-truths, and head-scratching stories about the insects we encounter every day.
Frauke Hachtmann, UNL Professor and William H. Kearns Chair in Journalism, is one of 45 community co-curators for the exhibition “Go Big Red” at Sheldon Museum of Art. For the show, each co-curator or team of co-curators selected a work from the museum’s collection that features red, the school color chosen by University of Nebraska students in 1892. This video was created to visually connect Frauke's personal story with her selected artwork. It was produced for and used by Sheldon Museum of Art (University of Nebraska–Lincoln) on their social media pages as well as their website.
