Damon Coyle creates lifelike simulators for the medical, nursing and veterinary medicine simulation labs. Through varied uses of silicone into molds (that he built and sculpted) and traditional artistry, he's able to create an incredibly valuable service to students through hands-on learning at a fraction of the cost for a more realistic product. 

This was my first graduation to photograph and it was split between two locations. 

How would you judge a crystal? Or better yet, how would you grow one?

Would you attend to every detail to get a perfectly clear and well-shaped example? Or would you let your imagination run wild, and create a “coolest” crystal?

That was the challenge presented to the K-12 students and teachers across the country who took part in the 2022 U.S. Crystal Growing Competition last October.

Discovering the link between art and nature made a significant impact on Taylor Robers as a young artist. As an MFA student and the 2022-23 artist-in-residence with the UB Arts Collaboratory, Robers says she feels empowered to translate her curiosity for forest ecosystems and related research into tangible forms.

A one-of-a-kind landscape opened an awe-inspiring opportunity of learning and adventure to two groups of Johnson County Community College students who traveled to Iceland in July and August of 2022.

The 26th Annual Myaamia Winter Gathering was held January 27-28, 2023. The event doubled as a final celebration of the 50th anniversary of the partnership between the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and Miami University.

In 2022, UGA students and faculty earned some impressive hardware to fill the trophy shelves in the athletic and academic sphere—a 2nd, consecutive, football National Championship, a Rhodes Scholarship and a MacArthur Genius Grant, to name a few.

So, let’s ring the bell and celebrate the University of Georgia’s athletic and academic success at the highest levels through this immersive photo story.
