Seven Utah Valley University Rodeo Team members competed at the highest level last month, facing riders and ropers from across the country at the College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) in Casper, Wyoming.
UVU’s men’s team finished 20th in the nation, with standout performers including Wyatt Ahlstrom and Jace Hanks finishing fourth in team roping and Cottar Deveraux finishing 10th in tie-down roping.
Indiana University Bloomington welcomed new and returning students to campus for the beginning of the fall semester. More than 12,000 students moved into on-campus residence halls starting on Sunday, Aug. 13. Following move-in, a variety of large-scale and small-group activities helped students get a feel for what it is like to be a Hoosier. Welcome Week kicked off with the New Student Induction Ceremony and continued through the first week of classes starting on Monday, Aug. 21.

Hosted by the Department of Orientation and Commuter Student Involvement with participation from partners across the campus, the program takes place from Monday, Aug. 14, through Sunday, Aug. 20, and will support 2,700 students as they transition into the U.
