Our photo staff was charged with shooting active, fun, engaging portraits of students that are involved with the fall season and football gamedays as part of our fall marketing campaign.  These portraits were paired with stories about theses students that included band members, trainers, fans, equipment managers and football players.   The photos were taken by photographers Chamberlain Smith and Andrew Tucker. But all of our team members were involved in the setup, planning, and execution of these shoots.  It was a complete team effort.

The St. Edward's men's basketball team faced the Division I, No. 18-ranked Texas Longhorns and Hilltopper alumnus and Texas head coach Rodney Terry in an exhibition game at the Moody Center on Monday, October 30, 2023. The two hometown teams, being in different divisions, haven't met in nearly a century. It was an especially big deal for St. Ed's team, a team that doesn't normally get to play on such a big stage!

Between the beats of a metronome, the stops-and-starts of do-overs and three-minute water breaks, a deep bond forms at the Laker Marching Band camp over early mornings, hard work, discipline and even a few tears. 

 

The seven-day camp that starts each year before other students are on campus prepares band members for the first football game of the season.

As July melts into August and a new year approaches, spirit groups across campus gear up for a busy fall season. The TCU Marching Band Marching Band, Showgirls, Cheerleaders, Twirlers, and Rangers rehearse for weeks to perfect their routines to cheer on the Horned Frogs in football, basketball, soccer, and more sports.

A crowd of orange and green descended on the Lakeside Patio at the University of Miami Coral Gables Campus on Friday for Family Weekend activities, providing a spirited audience for “ACC PM” co-hosts Mark Packer, EJ Manuel, and Mark Richt as they delivered news and commentary. Dan Radakovich, vice president and director of Athletics, as well as Katie Meier, head coach of the women’s basketball team, also were on set.

Documenting the weeklong celebration of the sights and sounds for the university's homecoming activities as we welcomed alumni, parents, fans, and friends back to campus to celebrate all that it means to be a Miami Hurricane.  The weeklong event culminated in giant party Friday night filled with band & cheer squad performances as well as fireworks and a exploding boat..
