Para-athlete Megan Hopkins regains balance and power with custom prosthesis designed and manufactured by Northeastern undergraduates for their bioengineering capstone class. Hopkins and the students met at the CRI Rowing boathouse on the Charles River for the first test of the prototype prothesis on the water and on an erg.
"The pain is so intense I can’t stand. I place my palms on the ground behind me, press into my heels, and raise my torso to a night sky drenched in stars. It is beautiful. I let the pain wash over my body as I gaze at a million, billion, trillion orbs of faraway light. As I press into my muscles, the cramps become tolerable."

Families, volunteers and community members gathered at Jefferson Farm and Garden Extension and Education Center to explore the world of butterflies. Hosted by University of Missouri Extension, the 8th Annual Butterfly Festival featured native species, craft booths and family-friendly learning activities.
