The historic bells in the Altgeld Hall chimes tower are removed as work continues on a restoration project for the historic building. The chimes tower houses 15 bells that weigh a total of 7.5 tons.
This is a photo essay done over 2 1/2 months of out theatre department's production of "The Wiz." From set design, choreography, costume design and construction to the paint and dye shop.
We arranged each time and found out when key things would be taking place. This was shot by one staff member and a student over multiple visits over the course of the ten weeks. Capped off by portraits of the main actors in character and the final dress rehearsal.
After nearly a full year without measurable snowfall, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and surrounding community have transformed into a winter wonderland with nearly 9 inches of snow since the start of 2025. But it hasn’t been just the snow making headlines — an intense cold snap that settled over the Midwest during the week of Feb. 17 shattered at least three temperature records in Lincoln. The snowfall and icy blast had students, faculty and staff bundling up in their thickest coats, scarves and mittens as they trekked across campus to kick off the new semester.
A combined choir of 124 students from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Glenn Korff School of Music preformed the song "One Voice" during the 60th Presidential Inauguration inside the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Jan. 20.
University of Miami students began moving into the Coral Gables Campus on Jan. 8, with more than 700 new undergraduate students joining the U this semester. Students, along with about 1,400 family members, participated in the Canes Take Flight celebration held in the ballroom at the Donna E. Shalala Student Center.
First day of classes begin Jan. 13.
