Each year MSU does a publication called Mind's Eye.  It focuses on a select professors' work and research.  We always produce a video in tandem to the article publication.  Steven Senger is a math professor at Missouri State.  The math formulas he created were later developed and expounded on to create the programming for drone swarms to be used in light show displays, emergency search and rescue, forest fires, etc.  Having experience in programming, animation, music making, and mathematics, he was amazing to work with on this video.

Each year we produce a video in tandem with the publication Mind's Eye.  Mind's Eye focuses on a professor's recognition in their field.  Jin A. Seo,, a sculpture artist and ceramics professor at MSU, created a sculptural jewelry series called "Mow the Lawn,"  that focus on the body as it's own topography.  She was influenced by two specific elements: Korean shower cloth and the American green artificial lawns.  The Korean shower cloth represents the cultures obsession with cleanliness and beauty and Seo compares it to the perfect man-made American lawn.

Each year we do a series called Mind's Eye , which focuses on a professor's research.  The video is produced in tandem with the Mind's Eye publication piece.   Dr. Jamie Grigsby focuses on consumer behavior and the power of Narative Transportation in marketing.  She found that ads with movement are a lot more successful than ads without movement.  Even the amount of movement makes a difference; high impact movement, such as running,  is a lot more effective than low impact movement, such as walking.

With a student-faculty ratio of about 9 to 1, the department is small enough to permit liberal faculty attention to each student. Close contact between students and faculty is maintained throughout the year in a variety of formal and informal venues.
