In the canine world, Livestock Guardian Dogs are the best of the best. Protecting a wide range of animals, these specially trained superstars not only protect livestock but deter predators. Research at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center in San Angelo has a program dedicated to these furry professionals and the success of having them on a rancher's team. The use of livestock guardian dogs has increased the survival rate of baby sheep/lambs and baby goats/kids – an often easy meal for predatory wildlife.

Study Everything, Do Anything as told by the A&L Class of 2024

Wetland Ecology and the Value of Craft (ENSP 2349) course isn't your typical university class. ENSP 2349 is a topics course in the Environmental Science and Policy department, designed to be a hands-on experiential learning class led by Steven Fletcher, Associate Professor of Secondary Education. Over the course of the semester, 11 Environmental Science and Policy students built four canoes and used these vessels on field visits around the Hill Country and the Gulf Coast to explore and study fresh and saltwater wetland ecosystems.

For our recruitment ads we did a series of videos with our employees, showing their work life balance with things they are able to do or enjoy. In this video Emily was able to work on getting her personal trainer certification. Emily has been an athlete and on the side enjoy helping people reach their fitness goals.

In this video Kelvin is an avid hiker and has been doing sections of the Appalachian trail for years. Kelvin picked one of the knob overlooks in our area and we started hiking at 4am to try an make it for a sunrise shot. The last bit of the hike was a struggle and we could tell the sun was starting to rise. Thankfully we just made it, lol!! 

With each breath, brick workers in Nepal’s Kathmandu Valley inhale dangerous particulates. From hazardous aerosols released during the brickmaking process and indoor cooking to emissions from vehicles and factories that seep into their homes, air pollution in the region is inescapable.
