The local music community is insanely vibrant in Wilmington, NC. Outside of higher ed I cover a large amount of live music performances. In the month of April alone I covered 19 sets. The progressive metal band Escape Velocity is one I have worked with a lot over the last few years, and I'm happy to enter 2 images from one of their shows this month.

The band approached me about creating some images for their upcoming album that explores themes of meditation and inner peace. I came up with some ideas based on the song descriptions they provided and had just the right location in mind to help illustrate what they wanted. I'm very happy with how the whole shoot turned out and this is 1 of 2 images I'm entering from this shoot.
