After nightly Ice Fest presentations, people walk the snow-covered streets to local hotels in Munising, Michigan. Eight students attended Ice Fest led by Joe Bitely, assistant director of Recreation & Wellness, who has been bringing students to Ice Fest for 15 years.

“It’s like coming home. I am just thrilled to be showing there,” Jónsson told Kent State Today. “I’m kind of calling this my mini-retrospective. It’s work that dates from 2009 until 2022, so it spans two-thirds of my career.”
The role of Georgia Grimm is being played by senior theatre performance major Iyona Nicole, from Columbus, Ohio. This is her first time in a lead role, and she’s feeling both excitement and stress.
"It’s a lot more [dialogue] than I'm used to. The subject matter is interesting, especially because it reflects what could happen in the future,” Nicole said. “It brings a bit of anxiety and everything, especially because it’s set in a school in Ohio. It makes me nervous for the future, but it also makes me reflect on just what people have done to sacrifice to we where we are today.”
