A current Senior at Western Carolina University, Emily Campbell is a Sociology and Political Science double major with a passion for supporting women. From her personal life experiences navigating ADHD and divorced parents to her current internship at a local non-profit, she continues to learn and grow so she can make the world a better and safer place for others.
For associate professor Juan Pablo de Rivero Vaccari, the practice of Iaido is a form of meditation in motion, where discipline and attention to detail guide every movement. Over time, he has learned to apply these skills in his lab at the Miller School of Medicine, approaching experiments with calm, precision, and care. In his classroom, he mirrors martial arts instruction, giving students new challenges only when they are ready.
Raising Everyone UP: An Unforgettable Night of Community on the Court shares the story of how a college community came together to highlight, encourage and celebrate the University Participant (UP) Program at Western Carolina University - giving students with learning disabilities the chance to take the court as athletes and cheerleaders alongside their fellow students. More than just a game, this event highlighted the power of opportunity, the joy of collaboration, and the truth that with support, students of all abilities can shine.
Dr. Rouquette is employed by Texas A&M AgriLife Research and has worked at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Overton since October, 1970. He conducts basic and translational research on nutritive parameters and defoliation regimens of warm-season perennial grasses and cool-season annual grasses and legumes. Currently, his pasture research program represents the longest continuous stocking experiments with improved forages and nutrient cycling in the U.
The Agricultural and Natural Resources Policy (ANRP) Internship Program is one of the premier leadership opportunities in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A&M University. Through this program, students complete exciting, policy-focused internships in Washington, D.C., Austin, Texas, an internationally with the FAO, for a semester while earning academic credit.
