Space X launched the Falcon 9 rocket with the Dragon capsule on December 5th loaded with 5700 lbs. of supplies to the ISS. On board are “Mighty Mice” to investigate the potential benefits of targeting the myostatin (MSTN) and activin signaling pathways to prevent skeletal muscle and bone loss. A group of the mice have been genetically enhanced to have twice the normal muscle growth as normal mice. The mice will spend about a month on the ISS and return to earth to continue the research.
Setup: A remote pad camera shot triggered by sound. It was shot on a Nikon D5 with a 24-70mm, using a MIOPS sound trigger. The camera was placed at the pad two days before the launch.
