Sometime's my favorite photos are taken on the fly, almost by accident. This photo was taken in a car, driving by the building. As we were approaching it, I realized how stunning the sunset looked behind our iconic belltower. I quickly pulled out my camera (while in the passenger seat) and snapped some photos. I don't think I truly realized just how beautiful the sunset was until I got back to the editing suite. This is one of my favorite photos of the semester and the fact that it was captured in a car, not on assignment just makes it that much more special.
Towson won its 3rd straight CAA Women's Volleyball Championship! I've been so lucky as an athletic photographer to be able to follow some of the incredibly talented athletes through their college careers. So far the team has won the championship every year since I've come to this school, and I've gotten to know the girls on the teams as I followed their team every year. It's such a. fun experience and it's all made even better by getting shots like this.
I had the amazing opportunity to shoot my campus from a helicopter. It was life-changing and takes getting new perspectives and angles to a whole new level, literally! I was able to see my campus in an entirely new light and get photos I'd never be able to get normally. It definitely will go down as one of my favorite memories as a student photographer.
I love this saying. Seeing it displayed on one of the most prominent parts of campus is inspiring. Specifically, as a campus photographer, it inspires me to find new angles. Some of these buildings have been photographed for over a hundred years by hundreds of people. I challenge myself to find unseen angles to showcase just how beautiful this campus is. It's also a way to show people how I view the world.
