Researchers from the Harte Research Institute prepare to fish around an abandoned offshore rig off the coast of Port, Aransas, Tx. Each Amberjack caught will be tagged, and those fish greater in size were fitted with acoustic tags - electronic transmitters surgically implanted inside a fish's body cavity. The signals produced are recorded by underwater acoustic receivers known as listening stations to track the Amberjack.
