A Black Lives Matter mural is painted at 18th and Vine, the historic jazz district in Kansas City, Missouri. It is one of six street murals across the city commissioned by KC Art on the Block.

When the campus shut down in March, I began taking long daily walks, many at dawn. With fewer cars on the road, the whole area around my neighborhood has become quiet, with more wildlife visible during daylight hours. In mid-May, I spotted this little fox heading into the woods near my house, probably taking breakfast to hungry pups in his/her den.
