Personal Vision

A sunset on the rocky shores of Bar Harbor, Maine. 

In this self-portrait I parody the Allegory of Painting with photoshop! Influenced by painters Artemisia Gentileschi, Gerrit van Honthorst, and Simone Cantarini.

A giant frog friend spotted in a pond while wandering on vacation. I was most excited that I shot this with a 26 mm prime and held my camera over the water and didn't scare the frog or drop my camera.

With a campus overrun by ungulates they become more than a little comfortable with human presence. During the summer they are even more emboldened to roam campus. Who knew that deer squatted while answering the call of nature. It's the eye contact that's creepy, right?

A long and strenuous hike pays off when an inquiring Ibex wanders onto the trail.

Chico State welcomes visitors from all over the world representing more than 12 countries as they host the 8th International Plant Gall Symposium, which includes collecting excursions in the local mountains & park, expert presentations, and poster sessions on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 in Chico, Calif.
