Inigo Montoya, a 7 pound, nearly toothless, tongue-always-out, heartworm-positive senior chihuahua stray from San Antonio, was our 15th foster dog. While we usually change shelter names, Inigio Montoya was his shelter name, and something about that just felt right for his little spirit. We were fostering him over Halloween, so naturally we had to dress him up as his namesake.

Every Sunday during the summer, I take my early morning bike ride along Lake Michigan here in Chicago and occasionally, I'll bring my camera in case I see something I'd like to capture. On this day, the sun was coming up and I was coming up to the turn along the lakefront before heading over to the Adler Planetarium and saw people coming around the turn. I stopped and got my camera out, waiting to see if someone on their bike would come around the corner and instead, it was a fisherman and saw the nice opportunity. Early bird does get the shot.
