The venerable monks are welcomed to Tuskegee, AL on their 2,300 mile "Walk for Peace" across the U.S. from Texas to D.C. spreading messages of compassion and inner peace through communities in the state of Alabama and beyond.

A crowd gathers for the 20th annual Ninigret Park New Year’s Eve Bonfire sponsored by Charlestown Parks and Recreation Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Charlestown, Rhode Island.
