Godfrey Dillard watches the premiere of “Triumph,” a documentary about Perry Wallace. Wallace was the first black player in the SEC, breaking the color barrier in the fall of 1967.  Dillard and Wallace endured vicious, mob racism as members of the university freshman team in the fall of ’66.

College is a tool to rise above the ruck. While I was in the zone during commencement, I spotted a hand rise above the crowd with the "sign". I swung my camera with the speed that only Elmer Fudd could appreciate and focused and snapped on the one second target, but unlike Mr. Fudd I found success, but no rabbit stew for me, just the dream of a pat on the back.

We had so many requests to use campus property for staging, we had to limit the number of approved pilots and I submitted an "air traffic control" plan to campus police. We had a total of 6 drones airborne. Our campus is in class B airspace so only part 107 pilots can fly.  The FAA was even on hand to make sure we were all approved with license and LAANC approval.  Even with that, I turned around before the implosion and counted 9 other drones in the air. The air was buzzing!
