Christine Smith hugs her brother as a tear rolls down her cheek after watching him receive his white coat. Saying: "Mom would have been so proud." The two lost their mother 2-years ago to cancer. 

Teri Harrington shares a laugh with Jeff Granger at their care team meeting consult for Mr. Granger's kidney transplantation. Granger received a kidney from Harrington's husband 12-years ago, and the two have kept in touch since. With Granger's kidney failing, Harrington went to the hospital to see if she was a match to give Granger one of her kidneys. When the two found out they were a match, it was back to the hospital to make arrangements.

Adrianna Colton flinches as Claudia Jorgensen, associate professor of psychology, shows her Brain and Behavior class a brain that has been preserved through a process called plastination. Jorgensen, who feels it is important for the psychology students to have a tactile experience to help them learn, lead the efforts to get the funding for the department to get several human and animal brains for students to study.
