Students depart with their bargains at the Office of Sustainability’s annual “Give ’n Go Yard Sale” Friday, August 28, 2026 on Larrabee Green. Items in the sale were collected from residence halls on campus in the spring after move-out. Give ‘N Go is a partnership with the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut and Safe Futures. Many collected items are donated to local community organizations through two agency days held in May. Items particularly useful to first-year students are stored for the low-price “yard sale” for students during orientation. Each year the office collects over 11,000 lbs of donations.
