Ceremonial regalia gets used during Winter Commencement

The smaller December commencement ceremonies are held in an auditorium. As tradition, the soon-to-be graduates are asked to look toward their family and friends and give them a round of applause for being there along the way. This particular individual is receiving a Master's of Public Health from the College of Health Sciences.
