At the beginning of Romeo and Juliet, there's a big dance number, they ran the full dance number and I placed myself right in the middle of the action to get this shot.
I had the privilege of shooting promotional images for the recent Artist Series production of "Romeo and Juliet." This particular photo was unplanned; we had to pause for a scene change, and the lighting happened to be perfect! Seizing the moment, I suggested that they move over to the cross and hold up the lantern. Surprisingly, this spontaneous decision resulted in my favorite photo from the entire shoot.

An artificially-lit slow shutter, zoomed photograph of artwork entitled "Embodied, Cross and Anchors" that was recently dedicated to the Holy Cross Institute. The piece is made out of rolled paper that was created from clothing worn during service and ministry from retired Brothers of Congregation of Holy Cross and members of the Holy Cross Institute. Notes and messages calling for hope, peace and faith have been written on the paper and rolled into tight spirals. The spirals are symbols of people past, present and future that hold the value of Holy Cross to their core. As the symbol of Holy Cross, the cross with anchors stands as a continual reminder of the work to bring hope into the world.
