A hand print begins to melt away as rain closes down "Unity at the Rock" on February 20, 2019. During the event, students and faculty paint the Rock with multi-color handprints to show their unity against hate and racism.

The "Lightboard" available for professors to use at the UIS Center for Online, Learning, Research and Service (COLRS). The board allows professors to write normally while facing the viewer/camera position and the camera instantly reverses the image so the viewer would be able to read what was written while it is explained.

Computer Science major Victor Torres, who defeated more than 3,000 students to win a national cyber hacking competition, works in the server room on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in Chico, Calif. During the three-day National Cyber League event, students work their way through challenges involving password cracking, open source intelligence, web application vulnerabilities, and exploiting binaries. For the final challenge, Victor found himself working for 12 hours straight before securing the win. But he didn’t stop there ... Two weeks later, he combined efforts with other Chico State students to win the team championship as well, beating our more than 300 other groups.
