I love an opportunity to shoot a silhouette at sunset. I took this shot as part of an environmental portrait session with a biology student for the fall magazine. This shot probably won't get used in the magazine, but I'm curious to see other ways in which it will be used for marketing. 

A biology student feeds a baby squirrel at an animal rescue where she volunteered over the summer. 

This shot shows our two live mascots walking from our main building, Sherman Hall. Colonel Rock III and IV's names are Rocky and Ray, respectively. Ray is taking the lead in this shot and Rocky is following behind as he is recently retired. 

Costa Rican naturalist and guide Erick Castro leads members of a science-centric Rainforest Camp on a night hike to observe rainforest biodiversity by flashlight at the Selva Verde Lodge in Chilamate, Costa Rica.  The camp was created in partnership with UF's Florida Museum of Natural History and was led by two Museum experts and two local guides to inspire families to become mindful stewards of biodiversity and conservation.
