I took a shot from the women's basketball season opener and juxtaposed it with the first image of a basketball game in Mayser Gymnasium that the Archives could find, from February 21, 1962. That contest predated co-education and was, of course, played by men. The gym was renovated this past summer with the replacement of the original bleachers and a fresh coat of paint.
