Pollinators in action on a trail through a conservation green space in the heart of campus. This wooded section of campus was once overgrown, neglected and deemed "scary," with signs stating"Do Not Walk This Path Alone or At Night." It was slated for a new campus building when biological sciences faculty and researchers working across the street made an argument to convert it into a conservation space that would support pollinators, protect natives and create a safe and educational nature experience that is accessible for all on campus to enjoy. The university said "convince us", so a team of volunteers now works very hard every month and has developed a vibrant and beautiful space on campus where humans and nature can co-exist.
