Dr. Arnold Menezes on Friday, March 29, 2024. In 2024, Menezes marks 50 years at Iowa as one of the world’s top experts in surgical approaches of the craniocervical junction—the area where the skull meets the spine.
Emma Puetz, a master’s student in geology and geophysics, works on and prepares the first triceratops fossil she found. She has now found two seperate triceratops fossils in Montana’s rocky terrain during summer field programs. Puetz’s next academic stop will be Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she will be a Ph.D. student in functional anatomy and evolution and continue studying dinosaur brains.
Rui Bo aims to revamp how the power grid is planned for the future and will now have his work powered by the National Science Foundation’s Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program award.
