Other more candid “portraits” belong in the NEWS & COLLEGE LIFE category. Basic retouching/editing is permitted.

Russell Pair, an MSU senior and winner of Amazon and LG Electronics' new competition reality series "Estate of Survival," stares down the camera as if an opponent to support his news feature. The show follows eight contestants who arrive at a luxury estate that is completely empty. They face a variety of challenges as they strategically compete to earn furniture and appliances for the estate, avoid elimination and, ultimately, win the grand prize of one-hundred thousand dollars.

Ryan Andress, UNCW executive chef, received a gold medal after placing first in the Aramark Collegiate Hospitality and Harvest Table Culinary Excellence Competition (ACE). The competition brought together eight chefs from various Aramark Collegiate Hospitality and Harvest Table campuses to create four innovative menu items from a mystery basket and compete for the national title in San Antonio, TX.
