Portraits

Alex Suarez ’24 took third place in the 2022 Collegiate Drone Racing Championship, fourth place in 2023, and third place again in 2024. The first to graduate from York College of Pennsylvania with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Alex is an incredibly hard working and talented individual. When asked if we could feature him on our institutional social media channels to celebrate his accomplishments, Alex asked if we could try a photo different to the normal smiling portrait. Turning his drone lights to YCP green, Alex raced his drone around himself during a long exposure to show just how he feels immersed in his goggles. Alex is heading to the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he will pursue a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and research drone technology.
