Loyola's Sister Jean has been the Men's Basketball Team Chaplain since the early 1990s and has recently gained international fame after the team's Final Four run in 2018. She has been involved with the Loyola community in a variety of roles since the 1960s and is a beloved figure on campus.

Dr. Sharon Walsh is one of the lead researchers for the University of Kentucky's fight against the opioid epidemic. Recently, Dr. Walsh led a team that was awarded over $90 million to aid in research and the effort to combat the opioid crisis.
