Andy Herrera, or Ecmo Andy as he has become known poses for a portrait almost 1-year after his heart transplant. Andy and his family are attempting to get a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest a patient has ever been on an Ecmo Machine. Herrera spent 1-year and 1-month on Ecmo. The average length a patient spends on Ecmo is just over a month.
