On June 5, 2022, Cameron Blake did a BRAVE thing - he played a full classical violin recital to celebrate his healing, to tell his story and share some of the music that has remained dormant in him for so long. This portrait was made just before his first violin concert in 15 years! While in grad school, Cameron's violin playing was nearly brought to an abrupt halt by an abusive teacher. The psychological/physical connection made it nearly impossible to play the violin without significant physical tension. After his teacher passed away many years later, Cameron began working with a therapist on healing the past trauma the with the teacher. A Return to the Violin, was his concert celebrating his healing and his return to the stage with his violin.
