Portraits
Posed portraits of individuals or groups, in the studio, on your campus, or elsewhere in a university or college-related situation. The subject must be aware that they are being photographed. Other more candid “portraits” belong in the NEWS & COLLEGE LIFE category. Basic retouching/editing is permitted.
Sage Reiger has synesthesia and his brain processes music as colors. He has produced artwork to show what he hears. Chris Nguyen, a third-year architecture student from Grand Island, poses with one of his cedar panels. The panels are part of his project to find useful materials from the invasive Eastern Red Cedar tree. Nguyen spent the summer in western Nebraska cutting down the trees and turning them into planks.

This was for a photo shoot to reveal the new marching band uniforms to be released New Years Day when the band marched in the London New Years Day parade. It was fun to get a few band members in the studio after shooting hundreds of athletes year after year.
