First-year student Claire Softner overseas a fencing practice match at the Patti & Allan Herbert Wellness Center Thursday night.  Softner first took up fencing when she was 9-years-old in her home state of New Jersey after a neighborhood friend started taking lessons.  She has been fencing ever since and is excited to bring her years of experience to the university's fencing club.
