An incoming freshman climbs a fun and challenging route on Cedar Rock in Pisgah National Forest.  This day of climbing takes place during a week-long backpacking trip known as First Ascent Wilderness.  Along this journey, experienced student guides with Base Camp Cullowhee; a large part of the Campus Recreation Center introduces incoming freshman to the environment, landscapes and adventures near campus while teaching many wilderness skills and new friends for life.
