This was our final home game for the season and the players decided they wanted to walk on the field with the interim head coach John Hendrick. They walked through the tunnel into a cloud of smoke escorted by a Mississippi Highway Patrolman. The head coach was released from his duties a week prior to this game. The players wanted the interim to become the new head coach. Administration agreed a few weeks later.
